DD Allen announces the opening leg of the 2019 'Bad Love' Tour with two dates in Groningen and Haarlem.
Shows are scheduled for Jun 12 and 13, opening for LA rock 'n' roll and rhythm and blues band Vintage Trouble — currently performing across Europe on their Chapter II tour.
The live dates mark DD Allen's first venture into mainland Europe and it' an exciting prospect opening for a band who've supported the Rolling Stones, The Who, AC/DC, Lenny Kravitz and Bon Jovi.
Dutch fans can expect songs from DD Allen's forthcoming EP (out Jul 05) as well as the debut album scheduled for release early in 2020.
Also, the band promises a rearranged version of Mr Nice, a song written about the infamous drug smuggler Howard Marks, arrested in the Netherlands by the DEA.
"I wrote Mr Nice three years ago after reading Howard Mark's book and studying his background", claims Allen. "I'm just fascinated by life's great characters because they make for the fascinating subject matter. We've played the original version live a few times, but sadly I never got to track the song in the studio and send Howard a version before he died."
